Wedding on the water

I did a beautiful wedding last night at the Edgewater Hotel on Seattle’s waterfront.  My couple ordered my “Main Event” package, which includes my officiating services, my photographer, flowers and a cake.  They rented a private dining room just off the main restaurant and two tables for 10 each.  After the ceremony they used the bridal bouquet and an additional bouquet that I provided for their centerpieces.  They invited my photographer, Peter, and I to stay for dinner and I had such a great time getting to know them better and some of their family as well.  They did a fantastic job planning everything and I was overjoyed at being included in their big day!  Congratulations Darren and Rebekah!

Another Space Needle Observation Deck wedding!

Just got back from another wedding at the Space Needle Observation Deck  Congratulations Andrew and Teresa!  You are a beautiful couple and I wish you much happiness!

I have to give the folks at the Space Needle a great big thanks for letting us have our way.  When I arrived I wasn’t aware of the fact that my couple wanted to eat at the needle after the ceremony.  I asked them if they had a reservation and they said no.  I also advised them that if they were going to eat up there that their elevator ride would be complementary.  They were excited about that considering the elevator ride fee for adults is $18 per person.  But what we didn’t know — and this is partly what I’m blogging about so others can be aware — is that they only give out the complementary tickets 30 minutes before your meal reservation.  The problem with this was that my couple wanted to get married on the observation deck at 1pm and their brunch reservation wasn’t until 2:15.  So that meant, if they wanted to have their elevator ride paid by the Space Needle folks they (we) would have to wait around for 45 minutes.  I insisted that they wait and get the discount because who wants to pay $18 per person when you don’t have to, right?  Instead, and this is where my compliments go out to the Space Needle, we went to the desk and spoke with a manager and long story short, she personally escorted us up the elevator to the observation deck and we were able to have our ceremony on time with the couples meal to follow later.

That’s customer service!  Thanks Space Needle!

Destination Wedding finale!

I am happy to announce the marriage of William and Diana who were married on January 2, 2011!  This couple were my first destination wedding bride and groom and I truly enjoyed all the planning that went into their trip and their wedding.   But the real treat was finally getting to meet them at their hotel on their wedding day.   They had one of the new rooms at the Seattle Warwick Hotel where they enjoyed an unobstructed view of the Space Needle’s fireworks on New Year’s Eve.  On their wedding day, Diana looked beautiful in her wedding dress with the pink bridal bouquet I provided.  And William looked very handsome in his tux with a pink boutanieer to match Diana’s bouquet.  That evening they enjoyed a romantic dinner at the Space Needle.   They are now on their way back to California where they reside.

Congratulations again William and Diana!  And Happy New Year!

Signing the marriage license!

Add a classical guitarist to your wedding day!

I am happy to announce that I now have a classical guitarist, Geoffrey Klok, available to play at your wedding!

I heard Geoffrey play at a wedding I performed about a year ago and I was so impressed with his magnificent talent that I wanted to be able to tell all my couples about him.  He is a master at classical guitar and will make your small or large gathering much more unique and special as he plays something for your guests.  I have included a clip of Geoffrey’s music for you to listen to:

Capricho Arabe clip – Geoffrey Klok

Geoffrey knows hundreds of songs but can easily learn a new one if he doesn’t already know it.  Check out more information about Geoffrey on my Wedding Packages page.

Looking back on 2010

As I look back on 2010 I am so grateful for all the couples I got to meet! I saw so much love and happiness and I couldn’t be more grateful for the career I have chosen. From the Olympic Penninsula in Washington State to Afghanistan, I have had conversations with you about everything from your vision for your wedding to getting an update about you and your sweetie’s one-year anniversary. You inspire me to be the best I can be for one of the most special days in your life. I love getting out there and finding out how I can make your wedding ceremony experience truly memorable and I never tire of hearing your requests. I want to thank all of you for including me in your very special day — your happiness has truly become my success!

Happy New Year to all of my couples — old and new!
