Picolinos Restaurant, Seattle Wedding Officiants, Seattle Wedding

Ristorante Picolinos is a beautiful Italian restaurant in my Ballard neighborhood that I have been to dozens of times.  The staff are gracious and professional, the food is delicious (try the small plates in the bar), and the ambiance is fun and lively.  Call Tom Bailiff, owner, to discuss your bridal shower or rehearsal dinner arrangements.  He and his staff will make sure you have a delicious meal and a memorable experience.

Each time I eat at the Tamarind Tree I have a new experience.  From the succulent seafood to the fresh vegetables to the steamed rice paper specialties ~ every delicious dish is prepared with detail and flair.  Try the back patio for your bridal shower or rehearsal dinner where you will enjoy the sound of the nearby waterfall while you sip your beautifully prepared lemongrass martini!  Enjoy!

Wedding Band, Swing Soire, Seattle Wedding Officiants, Elaine Way, Seattle Wedding, Non-denominational minister

Swing Soiree is a premiere act in the style of gypsy jazz. Evoking the spirit of the jazz age in Paris where the likes of Louis Armstrong and Josephine Baker were major figures, Swing Soiree emulates the famous Quintette du Hot Club de France. The Hot Club de France was highly acclaimed as Europe’s answer to jazz with the virtuosic Stephane Grappelli on violin and the enigmatic gypsy genius Django Reinhardt on guitar. In the same vein as the Hot Club, Swing Soiree performs a mix of american swing and gypsy songs with a jazz flair and nuances of european and gypsy flavor.  While at home in the gypsy swing genre, Swing Soiree is also able to play a variety of styles. Each member of the group brings talent and knowledge of many types of music. So Swing Soiree can be equally at home playing a bossa nova or a tango, american pop or cuban son, bluegrass, classical or eastern european gypsy music.

Photographers

A Beautiful Day Photography, Seattle Wedding Officiants, Elaine Way, Non-denominational minister, Seattle Wedding

After 15 years as a photojournalist, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Daniel Sheehan in 1997 began covering weddings in addition to his editorial and corporate work. Shooting that first wedding was a revelation. The experience of capturing the emotions of that one day – the love and joy that comes of committing to a life together – sparked a new passion for Daniel, himself caught up in a long love affair with his wife, Jana.

“Be realistic about how much detail you can incorporate and how much you actually need to achieve the wedding you want. Always keep in mind that many little things will be lost to your guests, but never forgotten by you; don’t try too hard to please others. Rather, choose to devote your time to the details that have the deepest meaning to you as a couple and focus the rest of your time on creating the big picture you want….” Wedding Aces
